Every match begins with only a handful of ships, but Space.io quickly transforms into a contest for territory and survival. Capturing locations increases production, allowing larger fleets to challenge stronger enemies across the map. Direct attacks without preparation often waste valuable units, so successful commanders balance offense with defense before committing to major battles.
